Meet Dr. Kwon
Dr. Kwon grew up in Pu’unene and graduated from Baldwin High, followed by a BA cum laude from Harvard, MD from University of Colorado School of Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency at Tufts New England Medical Center.
He has more than 40 years of clinical practice experience both in Maui and Concord, MA.
He was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha membership and was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Kwon organized the Malulani Initiative for a new hospital on Maui and also helped design a new medical clinic for Harvard Vanguard in Concord.
In his spare time, Dr. Kwon enjoys hiking, swimming, doing yoga and playing trombone in various ensembles.
“It is essential for me to know each patient’s life story as health care must be individualized according to the person’s personal needs and life experiences. Serving as a primary care physician enables me to see the entire scope of care. There is often more than one way to approach illness and remain respectful and allow for the patient to have an active and participatory role in their care.”
